Balinese traditions are always been strictly related to religion and sacred acts.
Locally know as Gebogan (g’bogan), women carry these huge offerings to the temples on their heads. Gebogan usually includes arrangements of fruit, cooked chicken, flowers, small rice pyramids as well as cakes stacked on top of one another.
Once women reach the temple, incense sticks are put in the Gebogan to be blessed by the priests, before to be offered to the gods while everyone prays.
Our guest activity team is at guests' disposal, at the poolside, to explain how to create this beautiful arrangement every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
