PAST EVENTS

Thu 1st May 2014

JOE BARBIERI Trio

Giuseppe Barbieri, guitar / vocals

Antonio Fresa, piano
Luca Aquino, trumpet

Joe Barbieri is a fascinating anomaly. An outsider that outside the track of the industry has been able to build a personal journey, and that has succeeded in the rare exercise in conveying the approval of critics, colleagues and the public. In 2004 he released his first album titled "In parole povere". The debut is an irresistible meltining pot that binds the world music to Jazz, to the noble tradition of the italian "cantautori". "Maison Maravilha", Barbieri's second album is distributed over
Japan, Nor th America, Europe. On the 13th of may 2013 Joe Barbieri invited trumpeter Luca Aquino and pianist Antonio Fresa to record "Chet Lives" a tribute to the figure and the music of Chet Baker in the 25th anniversary of his death, reinterpreting his most beautiful reper toire and Chet's connection with Italy.
