A Dialogue between Da Vinci and Lu Ban

A Dialogue between Da Vinci and Lu Ban
#Exhibitions

This exhibition was created to establish a dialogue between the genius of the Italian Renaissance and the master of practical arts that lived during the Spring and Autumn period of the Zhou Dynasty, a contemporary of Confucius. Identifying the concept of “creation” as the common point between the two artists, the Riverside Museum compares the works of these two inventors, who lived in different historic periods and totally different parts of the worlds. The exhibition retraces the history of human civilisation and technological progress through the models and projects of these two extraordinary men, highlighting the incredible contributions of Da Vinci and Lu Ban to the creative development of their respective societies. To this, another aim is added - connecting the itinerary with today. The intensive use of digital technology makes the exhibition totally immersive, engaging visitors in a journey through the past, where uncommon minds dared to imagine and create technology at the service of humanity.
