The Fantastic World of Dalí at the YAM
#Exhibitions

The Yang Art Museum hosts the “Fantastic World” of Salvador Dalí, an exhibition co-produced by MAO Industries Company Limited of Shenzhen and Dalí Universe, an Italian company that manages a vast collection of works by the Catalan artist. The museum is witness to the triumph of the three-dimensional sculptural works of the artist: the melting watches of the painting The Persistence of Memory, become real and acquire volume. The Dance of Time and Time’s Profile, are sculptural examples of the artist’s surreal vision of time. The dreamlike revelations of Dalí become reality in works like The Woman in Flames or The Snail and the Angel, giving the spectator the sense of walking through a world of fables. Besides the display of three-dimensional works among the most refined of all of surrealism, there is also a splendid collection of jewellery created by some of World’s grand masters of gold-smithing. With the graphic works of the artist, the extravagance of Dalí returns to the two-dimensional world, yet the astonishing effect remains the same, thanks to the skill of Salvador Dalí to delve into the depths of the human subconscious like few other artists in history.
