Following the Tracks of Che at the Fabbrica del Vapore

50 years after the death of Che, a voyage through history to know the man, the utopian thinker and fighter Ernesto Guevara and re-live the extraordinary adventure that was his life. More than 1000 documents - some never on display before - on loan from the wonderful archive of the Centro Studi Guevara in Havana, are the basis of a narration built on multiple levels. Official and private photographs, archival video, letters, diaries, speeches and writings make up a complex portrait, full of subtleties, with the clearly delineated backdrop of Latin America in the ‘50s and ‘60s. From his childhood to the legendary travels by bike and motorcycle through the most remote corners of the Continent, from the meeting with Castro to the final mission in Bolivia and his controversial disappearance, a story takes shape, made up of thrilling endeavours and existential doubts, political passions and loving sentiments, along with an original soundtrack composed by Andrea Guerra, winner of the the Soundtrack Star Prize at the 74th Edition of the Venice Film Festival. For the extra-curious, the upper floor hosts interactive tables for perusing complete documents and a projection room for watching original documentaries and films. There is also Dulcis in Fundo, an installation dedicated to Che by the American artist Michael Murphy, pioneer of Perceptual Art.
