With his synaesthetic work that generates vibrating materials thanks to a mathematic-acoustic formula, Roberto Pugliese offers, in the spaces of the Fondazione Pomodoro, a “sound” sculpture that makes the most out of architectural resonance, giving space a “voice”. Created specifically for the environs of the Project Room - the archeological blueprints of which served in the generation of some numeric values which were, subsequently, plugged into a series of algorithms and complex equations - Concerto per Architettura allows the Neapolitan artist to explore the vibrational nature of matter. Through this new linguistic system in which space and sound become intrinsic values of the work, the art of Pugliese asks the visitor to participate, along with the space, with the whole musical system. Executed in concert form on the evening of the inauguration on 18 September, the event will be recorded and reproduced during the entire duration of the exhibition through an installation created specifically by the artist, next to which will be another two sounds pieces, typical of the work of Pugliese. In Score (2016) and in Risonanti Pressioni Materiche (2014), there will be tiny “trumpets” placed next to each other that will emit sound composed by the artist.
