At Somerset House for London Fashion Week

Everything is set for London Fashion Week, the grand event that, twice a year, brings together the best of Made in the UK and beyond in Britain’s capital city. All lights are pointed on the British Fashion Council at Somerset House and on the Store Studios of the Strand, where the looks of next winter can be seen right now. Animating this edition, around 90 runway shows and presentations, as well as dozens of events throughout the city. Among the novelties of this year, the co-ed runway show of JW Anderson, who clamorously skipped the January date dedicated to Men’s Fashion, to present, for the first time, both Men’s and Women’s collections on the morning of Saturday 17 February. Festivities will open officially with the show of Richard Malone on Friday the 16th, followed the same day by Mulberry and Ashley Williams. Saturday’s program features the show by Burberry’s, which has chosen the co-ed version as well as the formula see now-buy now for the latest collection designed by Christopher Bailey, while on Sunday the 18th, the show of Maison Margiela will be flanked by the debut show of the Spanish brand Delpozo, which chose London after ten seasons in New York. And don’t miss the London Fashion Week Festival, which will bring the public tons of surprises the following week: on display - and on sale - at Somerset House, the creations of 150 designers, while a program of meetings and talks allow the public to get to know the stars of the sector and what the future has in store for Fashion.
