At the London Coliseum: La Traviata
#Music

The dream of love of Violetta erupts at the London Coliseum with all its dramatic potency. The opera in three acts by Giuseppe Verdi with the libretto by Francesco Maria Piave, seen on stage for the first time in 1853 at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, is now in the hands of Daniel Kramer for his debut as Artistic Director of the English National Opera. In this production, already being referred to as spectacular, where intimate and extremely tender moments mix with wild festive scenes, the masterpiece of Verdi is seen in one of the most iconic, tragic and romantic interpretations ever! Playing the role of the unfortunate Violetta is the young soprano Claudia Boyle, while tenor Lukhanyo Moyake, in his U.K. debut, will play Alfredo Germont. Directed by Leo McFall, the opera, on stage from 16 March to 13 April, is absolutely ready to conquer the public.
