At Somerset House, the Most Beautiful Photos of the Year
#Exhibitions

More than 600 photos displayed of as many photographers in which to abandon yourself to your imagination: the stupendous halls of Somerset House host the winning images of the Sony World Photography Awards 2018. Curated by Mike Trow - ex-picture editor of British Vogue - the competition has achieved, in recent years, an indisputable importance, seeing a record number of participants vying for the first prize. This, also thanks to an ample number of categories, including Landscape, Architecture, Street Photography, Documentary, Wild Nature, Portraits, as well as Travel, Still Lifes, Sports and others still. For those passionate about photography, it is a unique occasion: under the same roof, the winners and a selection of the finalists of the competition; a gallery of stunning photos, often provocative, different visions and perspectives which can amaze while offering the true beating pulse of contemporary photography. And if that’s not enough, to celebrate images in all their forms, the exhibition also includes an exclusive selection of large works by Candida Höfer, the winning photographer of the celebrated Outstanding Contribution to Photography Prize this year.
