A Gulf Quinquennial delves into the evolving art landscape of the Gulf countries, showcasing artists and collectives from across the region, including the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Scheduled for five-year intervals, the event showcases works in the fields of visual arts, architecture and design, including paintings, videos, installations and sculptures. The exhibition displays a wide variety of artistic styles, from emerging voices to well-known figures, and explores important themes such as urban growth, environmental change, heritage, identity and representation.
