Spring Blooms at the Chelsea Flower Show
#Lifestyle

The oldest and most highly-attended floral fair in the United Kingdom is ready to open its doors to the public. Since 1888, spectacular displays of garden designs, the greatest names in gardening, rare and exotic plants from every corner of the globe light up the London Spring in the gardens of Chelsea Hospital, under the direction of the prestigious Royal Horticultural Society. Not just an event for those engaged in the sector professionally, the Chelsea Flower Show is a culturally sophisticated event with a unique appeal that, every year, attracts almost two-hundred-thousand people, including the Queen and the Royal Family. Contemporary, traditional, sustainable and experimental gardens alternate with the unforgettable section dedicated to landscape design, brought to life by architects of world fame, while in the more subdued Artisan Gardens, an artisan’s touch prevails with spaces conceived for reflection and story-telling. And for those who don’t really have a garden, there are the works featured in the Space to Grow Gardens, which shows how to achieve remarkable results in the smallest of spaces. More than 80 British and international participants occupy the Great Pavilion, dedicated to the most interesting horticulturists of today’s scene. For tea, a meal or a cocktail with a botanical theme, there are Jardin Blanc and the Drawing Room with menus from award-winning Chef Raymond Blanc. Then the evenings take off in Chelsea After Hours, with live music in front of the sunset at Ranelagh Gardens.
