Two months of exhibitions, meetings, workshops and presentations - in September, Milan takes off with PhotoFestival, the event that transforms the city into a hub dedicated to the most contemporary of visual arts. The Changing World is the title of this 15th Edition, where photography is moulded by the unique and fragile times in which we are living. There are 140 exhibitions scheduled, a calendar that highlights quality with original projects of great depth and with a view of Italy that considers everywhere from the city center to the hinterlands, including the nearby provinces of Lecco, Monza, Varese and Pavia. Famous artists and emerging talents are ready to offer their view of the world with personal and collective exhibitions set in museums, art galleries and libraries, but also non-traditional spaces, such as shops and showrooms. Back again by popular demand is the appointment with the Palaces of Photography, to take in some of the years best projects in remarkable buildings opened to the public for this special occasion. Such is the case with the treasured Palazzo Castiglioni on Corso Venezia, a true masterpiece of the Liberty Style in Milan, as well as the nearby Palazzo Bovara, a jewel of Neo-Classicism in Lombardy.
