Antenna is the first solo exhibition of a contemporary Saudi artist in a Chinese institution. Known as one of the main protagonists of the Saudi art scene, Ahmed Mater has had a profound impact in shaping the visual arts ecosystem of the Kingdom, carrying out research that explores the social, cultural and economic transformations underway in the country, highlighting how these affect the individual, the community and the global society. His practice develops through a variety of media, including photography, sculpture, film and performance. With over 100 works, the exhibition traces the artist's career, through the most important series and his seminal works.
