Atsushi Saga is an artist born in 1970 in Tokyo, Japan. His works are included in public collections, such as the Twenty-first Century Museum of Contemporary Art, the Shizuoka Prefectural Museum of Art, and the Jean Pigozzi Collection of Japanese Contemporary Art. Over the past twenty years, Saga has challenged the medium of painting through his unique technique of repeatedly hand-polishing painted surfaces to create a mirror-like texture. The new exhibition features a new series of works titled Sync, which evokes the presence of sound through the soft curves visible on the red-colored surfaces and invites viewers into the depths of the subconscious and the sensory fields of the visible and invisible.
