The Paradise of Herons in the Tiny Village of Petulu

There is a tiny village, North of Ubud, where it seems life stood still centuries ago. In Petulu, the “Paradise of the Herons”, it is possible to enjoy an immersive and enthralling birdwatching experience with the backdrop of a breathtaking sunset, observing multitudes of cattle egrets and little egrets, two different types of herons, which crowd the pohon bunut wot, particular types of ficus with strong but flexible branches, typical of the area.
