The precious artifacts of the ancient Shu civilization

The precious artifacts of the ancient Shu civilization
#Exhibitions

The differences are recomposed in unity: this is the main theme of the current exhibition at the Shanghai Museum East. Numerous archaeological artefacts from important museum institutions in the Province of Sichuan and other regions of China would prove the existence of a dense network of exchanges between the Shu civilization and that of the Central Plains. The archaeological finds found at the sites of Sanxingdui and Jinsha have amazed the world with their beauty. These discoveries reveal a close similarity between them, which proves that both sites were centers of the ancient Shu kingdom. These are findings that have lifted the veil on the history of ancient Shu where a regional culture had developed distinct from the rest of China, characterized by prominent local traits and specific cultural characteristics. The ancient Shu civilization had exchanges at various levels with the cultures that had developed in the middle and upper reaches of the Yellow River and along the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, demonstrating the open-mindedness and progress achieved by that people.
