The sophisticated crew of artists of the The Medium Gallery is now enriched by the photographic works of Natalie Karpushenko. The artist’s images depict nature along with the human body, part of the same habitat. The photographer seems to divine the origins of beauty and freedom in the landscape where a silent dialogue between the savage parts of men and women occurs, between that seemingly-forgotten primordial soul and natural elements - leaves, the sea, rocks and even animals, such as whales. Natalie Karpushenko goes beyond a declaration of love for natural wonders, wanting to preserve them, but also, above all, capture them as they are, without filters to distort or modify reality. She prefers natural light, simple lines, for high impact images, legible from a distance as a single element only to reveal a population of human subjects. Passionate about the well-being of the planet and the health of the oceans, Natalie uses her ability as a free-diver to sink into the depths and increase awareness about the environment.
