#Exhibitions

Hybrid creations - principally sculptures and installations - born from the union of objects from the auto industry, mechanics, groceries, robotics, aeronautics and plastic surgery are the protagonists of the personal exhibition of Yngve Holen. These pieces project the spectator in a dimension that is “other” par excellence - they highlight the incurable fracture between nature and culture, the crisis of the relationship between man and machine and they invite to explore new forms of logic and conditions of existence. Bio-mimetic objects ranging from a rug with meat motifs covering the floor of the exhibition halls, to a sculpture depicting a cow made with a 3D printer, to blown glass in the form of a lotus illuminated by a ring-light are the means for understanding how human desires moulded but also overused industrial products and, on the contrary, how technological progress modified and shaped human behaviour.
