Time travel at the Goodwood Revival
#Lifestyle

Motoring enthusiasts know the Goodwood Revival well. A three-day festival that has been held every September on the Goodwood Motor Circuit, a couple of hours from London, since 1998 and which features vintage cars and motorbikes dating back to the period 1948-1966. Goodwood is a unique event in the world, the largest historic motor racing gathering on the planet and the only sporting event of its kind to be staged entirely with a period theme. The first revival took place 50 years after the 9th Duke of Richmond and Gordon opened the motor racing track in 1948, driving around the circuit in a Bristol 400, then Britain's cutting-edge sports saloon. Today this festival is an opportunity to travel back in time, with cars and motorbikes that are rarely seen on the streets every day, and to immerse yourself in a big party where most people dress in period clothing.
