The winner will be announced at the Victoria and Albert Museum on November 13, 2019. Contending for the world’s most important photo prize connected to sustainability and conceived to draw global attention to issues surrounding environmental themes are twelve artists - Shahidul Alam, Joana Choumali, Margaret Courtney-Clarke, Rena Effendi, Lucas Foglia, Janelle Lynch, Ross McDonnell, Gideon Mendel, Ivor Prickett, Robin Rhode, Awoiska van der Molen and Alexia Webster. The first-prize winner will receive 100.000 Swiss Francs, as well as participating, along with several other selected colleagues, in an exhibition at the V&A . Hope is the theme this year for the eighth edition of the Prix Pictet. A message that invites everybody to adopt a positive mindset, essential in taking the first steps towards any truly meaningful change.
