Fresh, exciting and, as always, full of surprises, London Fashion Week is ready to take off with the styles of the next winter season. Around 90 shows and presentations, plus dozens of events around the city, will present the public and members of the industry with the latest trends in fashion from some of the most prestigious brands in the U.K. and the world, as well as creations from innovative emerging stylists. Marking the debut of the 2019 Edition on the evening of Thursday 14 February, an event entirely dedicated to Canadian designers. And then it’s time for the highly anticipated runway shows, with Gayeon Lee and Jamie Wei Huang starting it all off on Friday the 15th. Among the important names is Burberry’s which, during the events of Sunday the 17th, will present its new men’s collection, while the Queen of English fashion Vivienne Westwood has decided this year, for the joy of her fans, to go with the “see now-buy now” formula. There are also plenty of events open to the public, starting with the London Fashion Week Festival, a kaleidoscope of offerings to discover, as well as shopping with over 100 brands, while meetings and talks allow the public to find out about the future of fashion straight from the protagonists of style themselves. And there’s more - from 11 to 25 February, the International Fashion Showcase will cast a light on 16 emerging talents selected from around the world, from Brazil to Lithuania, from Italy to India to South Africa.
