#Exhibitions

The best of international photography comes to Milan with the IX Edition of the MIA Photo Fair, with 135 exhibitors from Italy, Europe and around the world, explore the art of the photo in all its dimensions. A point of reference for collectors and enthusiasts, this year, the fair conceived by Fabio and Lorenza Castelli present something truly transversal: a new section that looks at the relationship between photography and contemporary art, events and selections dedicated to images of architecture and design, a focus on photography collecting, meetings with protagonists of the sector and a program of in-depth exploration. Enriching the scene with even further offerings, a new generation of artists on hand from South Korea, the guest nation of this edition and the independent photos selected from the Independent Photo Fair of Los Angeles. Then there’s the winner of 10 World Press Photo Paolo Pellegrin with his latest project Everyday Uniqueness, a voyage through the genres of photography from the Collezione Castelli, emerging Italian talents and an exhibition that embraces masters like Franco Fontana, Vera Lutter, Mario Cresci and Larry Clark. There’s even a corner dedicated to portraits on paper, welcoming visitors who want their photo taken by Settimio Benedusi, on hand with a special edition of his presentational format Ricordi?. In the commemorative year of Leonardo, there is also an exhibition dedicated to the genius of Da Vinci - on display, the reproductions of the pages from the Codex Atlanticus on optics and perspective, right next to a reconstruction of his Camera Obscura, to experience first-hand the precursor to modern photography.
