After sunset, an enchanted kingdom awaits visitors at Kew Gardens: lanterns that dance in the dark, fireworks, vibrant reflections on the water, colourfully decorated fountains that launch a new light over the most famous botanical gardens of the United Kingdom. This year, Christmas at Kew has outdone itself, with richer, even more spectacular decorations than ever before and even installations by internationally-known artists. A marvel for the eyes, to be enjoyed wandering among the colourful trees or in the Cathedral of Light, stopping to grab a vin brulé or a Christmas sweet in the cupola at the centre of the Fire Garden, which the French collective TILT designed specifically for Kew Gardens. The characteristic Victorian rides entertain the little ones, while all along the paths, Santa Claus and his elves prepare for their departure. Among the most incredible attractions of this edition, the 300 tiny boats on the lake created by Italian artists Asther&Hemera and the Field of Light designed by the British art collective Ithaca around the Great Pagoda, recently restored with its 80 flaming golden dragons. However, the grand finale takes place at the Palm House - the magnificent greenhouse will light up with an explosion of coloured lasers, dancing lights and projections over a giant mirror of water.
