Water lilies, aquatic plants, ducks and gold fish come to life with soft colours and lines that tell of Nature’s infinite beauty, becoming art, thanks to the sensitivity of Letizia Fornasieri. The aquatic landscapes of Lombardy with their flora and fauna, step right out of the works, most of which have never been on display before - the exhibition, entitled Confluenze offers over thirty oils on canvas, mostly created between 2019 and 2020. The artist, creator of famed metropolitan visions, places in front of our gazes, with the feminine strength of her counter-current liberty, those realities, apparently invisible, transforming the world with a style tempered by immense experience with her art, but, most of all, through her contact with Nature itself. For this exhibition at the Acquario Civico, Letizia Fornasieri operates in an interim world, somewhere between Earth and Sea, expressing herself with colours and experiences, the result of lengthy stays in these observed places, from the hills of Siena to the wetlands of Rivolta d’Adda. For Fornasieri, canals, besides being at the service of agriculture, etch out order in the countryside and the lives of humans, marking the passage of days, months and years.
