Nudist matrimonies and extended families, tiny quotidian accidents and epic events that made history, immortalised by the lens of one of the world’s greatest living photographers. With his unmistakable style, potent yet light, romantic and gently ironic at the same time, Elliott Erwitt interprets the universal yet malleable and relative theme of the family. A private and personal tale told through a historic and contemporary family album, serious and ironic at the same time, selected by the American photographer for Mudec Photo. From Jackie at the funeral of John Kennedy, next to truly private scenes, such as the celebrated photo of his newborn in bed, behind which Ellen, his firstborn, is hiding, the collection was selected personally along with Biba Giacchetti, curator of the exhibition, and alternates ironic images with cross-cuts of daily life.
Fifteenth Century Milan goes on display at the Museo del Duomo - designs from the "Atlantic Codex" and immersive reconstructions reveal the ideas of the genius Da Vinci for the city’s greatest landmark building.
