The art of storytelling, giving life to eternal adventures with such emotional impact that their presence has been felt for decades. This is the key to success of one of the most potent dream factories of the world, founded by Walt Disney a few kilometres North of Hollywood, almost a century ago. The secret recipe to all this success is now the focus of an exhibition featuring a selection of archival material, preparatory sketches, pieces of immortal films along with the most recent animated titles from the creative forge of Walt Disney Animation Studios. The fundamental ingredient of Disney’s masterpieces has ancient origins, rooted in myth and medieval legends, as well as the world heritage of fables from cultures around the world. The exhibition, suited to both adults and children, engages visitors directly, conducting them through the creative development of ideas, from the drawing that leads to the final work after a long process of elaboration which often requires years of effort. A journey through America’s greatest dream factory.

People, landscapes and objects reconquer the centre of the canvas. After years of abstraction, artists return to depicting the world through figurative art.
Madonna of the Towers by Bramantino at the Mystery of the Overturned Toad
What symbology is hidden behind the animal depicted by the artist under the figure of Archangel Michael in the work created towards the end of the second decade of the 1500s?
