The exhibition is entitled Bianco Nero Piano Forte and is the result of a brand-new choral project for Milan, dedicated to the work of two art photographers - Silvia Lelli and Roberto Masotti. The exhibition is a kaleidoscopic narrative of images created in Italy and abroad, starting in the early ‘70s, to compose a universal portrait of live music, from classical to jazz, from opera to rock, even experimental music. Taking official photos for the Theatre of La Scala in Milan, Lelli and Masotti have carefully observed musical performance. The itinerary Musiche gathers 110 black and white images, accompanied by a video looking at the photos on display and other archival material of the artists. Meanwhile, Bianco Nero Piano Forte offers a full-immersion exploration of the piano through both musical compositions and 45 black and white images by Lelli and Masotti. In this enthralling setting, the images of the piano dialogue with the poetic texts of Mara Cantoni and the original music of Luigi Ceccarelli, giving birth to a unified project summed up in a video created specifically for the exhibition.
