Guido Guidi is recognized for his way of capturing the everyday reality and the transformations of the territory, especially in the peripheral and rural areas of Italy. His photographs often portray ordinary and marginal places, exploring the relationship between man and the environment. His style is distinguished by the use of natural light and compositional care, which give his photographs a meditative and poetic quality. The exhibition explores the research of Guidi, a leading figure in Italian photography, from an unusual perspective: his archive. This space represents his home, his artistic studio, his place of work, life and meeting for young authors. It offers privileged access to his "theory" of photography and his creative processes, as well as links with the history of art and with other Masters of photography both Italian and international. The exhibition presents over 350 photographs, almost all vintage and with many unpublished, the result of an intense research work carried out together with the photographer in his studio. Also on display are notebooks, documents, books, proofs, paintings, cameras and a film by director Alessandro Toscano.
