From the infinitely large to the infinitely small: the investigation of the Chinese artist Yin Xiuzhen ranges between two different horizons, but at the center of her gaze is always man and his existence. Power Station of Art hosts over 20 monumental works made with different materials, which invite spectators to embark on a journey of exploration. To give an idea of the great variety, and imagination, of the interventions, we move from Flying Machine, a hybrid steel structure covered with old white clothes that holds together a farm tractor, a Shanghai-Volkswagen Santana and a Boeing 747 simulated with aluminum sheets, to Sky Patch made by sewing thousands of old sky-colored clothes donated by the public at the artist's invitation. On the one hand a hybrid body that blends differences and similarities, on the other the re-enactment of the ancient Chinese myth of Nüwa, who repaired the fractured sky. The participatory element is recurrent: the artist loves to collect a multitude of everyday objects and assemble them, giving life to new and poetic creations.
