In Between Days - Summer Event at ArtPlus Shanghai
#Exhibitions

On its way, a refreshing exhibition at ArtPlus Shanghai - the Ninth Edition of the Collective Exhibition involving the gallery’s regular “stable” of artists. A journey through languages, styles and various mediums, with authors that colour and redesign the past, along with visionary, futuristic artists, specialising in the use of the latest technology. On display, paintings, sculptures and installations from seven “historic” artists and one new addition. The first collaboration with Ouyang Sulong, on display with his articulated sculptures created with 3D printing techniques and Sha Shuang with an immersive site-specific work - a large graphic print which reproduces various levels, grids, perspectives and surfaces, with which the artist camouflaged the physical space of the gallery, recreating a sort of living room. Also on display, one of the new sculpture-garments of TuCho, a mix of silk cocoons, mulberry paper, calligraphy and authentic fragments of embroidery from the Qing and Ming dynasties. Among the top figures of the new generation of sculptors, Tan Danwu reveals two new porcelain works - black filigree lines that are reminiscent of the delicate ink strokes of traditional Chinese calligraphy. A mix of innovation and tradition binds these works presented during the summer program of the gallery.
