Address: 301 L+MALL, 899 Pudong South Road, Pudong New District
A new addition to the already-vibrant artistic scene in Shanghai - megalopolis which, in only a few years, has become one of the nerve centres of international art - APSMuseum is a non-profit space founded by Art Pioneer Studio and by Robin Wang, designed by Stefano Boeri Architetti, the Italian studio present in the city for years and actively engaged in the city’s urban development. Through an ample splash of blue, spectators enter the exhibition space which holds a group of works by great names of international art, from Anish Kapoor to Michelangelo Pistoletto, from Mona Hatoum to James Turrell, but also Chinese artists such as He An, Zhan Wang, Ding Yi and Xu Zhen, curator of the exhibition itself, as well as the divine hand behind numerous exhibition/events. The exhibition offers a reflection on the role of artistic contributions in the city, in its public spaces, serving as a vehicle of interaction and reflection on both the micro and macro levels. APSMuseum wants to be a space offering multiple possibilities - art, design, fashion and architecture meet inside the exhibition spaces located in the L + Mall in the Lujiazui area - the world’s first shopping mall to utilise 5G digital technology - with a host of happenings, conferences and presentations, without the confines of genre or pre-established artistic disciplines.
