Dunhuang, with its system of temples carved into the rock, its frescoes and sculptures, is a favourite stop for scholars and travellers moving along the Silk Road. The iconography associated with this destination which, for time immemorial, has marked the confine between East and West, lives again in a multi-media show conceived to share the great classics of world art history with a vast audience. This show with more than 200 works created in collaboration with designers, artists and students in which lights, dance and theatre come together to offer the public a multi-sensorial experience, a journey across the centuries aided by technology. In particular, NAKED, the creative team from Japan, reproduces the atmosphere of the Tang Dynasty with a sophisticated game of light and shadow. An event which skilfully uses the large space to create a captivating narrative for a vast audience.
