Coco Chanel, the Eternal Icon of Style
#Exhibitions

London in September will host a major exhibition dedicated to the life and work of the iconic French designer Gabrielle Chanel. The exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Hall promises to be a fascinating exploration of the incredible impact Coco had on the world of fashion and culture of the Twentieth Century. Gabrielle Chanel. Fashion Manifesto features over 350 rare and never-before-seen pieces from private collections, along with photographs, films, documents and a selection of clothes, accessories, jewelery and perfumes that will help shed light on the Chanel creative process and on the evolution of her idea of woman. During her long career, Chanel revolutionized Twentieth-Century women's fashion, introducing light fabrics, simple lines and seamless dresses. A style that has gone beyond the boundaries of clothing to land in the intangible world of perfumes. Like the famous Chanel N° 5. Two iconic drops to put on before going to bed naked like Marilyn Monroe, a perfume that become one of the best-selling beauty products in the world. Coco Chanel was a pioneering figure, known for her innovative designs that challenge traditional gender norms and celebrate a new sense of freedom and modernity. But Coco was also an important figure in the cultural world. She collaborated with some of the leading artists and intellectuals of her time, such as Pablo Picasso, Jean Cocteau, Max Jacob and Igor Stravinsky and she was able to courageously break down the barriers of common morality, challenging social conventions in an industry dominated by men.
