Migration and borders, cultural and gender identity, themes offered to the public through the latest technology. Performance and video, but also sculpture, painting and drawing created by the 57 selected artists - from Agil Abdullayev to Emma Fineman, from Rhona Foster to Bella Riza, from Francisco Rodriguez to George Stamenov - back at the South London Gallery, after almost 20 years from the last edition presented there, the itinerary of Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2018. Organisation created to offer support to emerging artists, since 1949, Bloomberg New Contemporaries encourages contemporary visual artists, accompanying them from their formation to their professional practice. This year’s participants will have access to numerous possibilities for professional development, destined to make their work more efficient and sustainable over the long run. Between the Main Gallery and the new Fire Station, works from emerging artists from around the world are on display, all chosen through a rigorous selection process by an illustrious jury of influential figures and art experts.
