#Exhibitions

A singular stone structure of an undetermined date carries the public into a solitary universe which heavily contrasts with the collective dimension of the city in which it is englobed. Hideaway is the museum space which contains the innovative studies of sculpture conducted by Caroline Mesquita, thus ushering in the second event of the Project Rooms 2019. For this year’s series, guest curator Cloé Perrone has selected three young international artists under the age of 40 - Sophia Al Maria, Caroline Mesquita and Rebecca Ackroyd - all of whom use sculpture within their own multidisciplinary practices, amplifying the very definition of sculpture itself. The installation of Mesquita is an imposing sculpture made of gneiss - an ancient stone found in Lombardy - which covers the entire space of the Fondazione Pomodoro, as well as bronze and brass objects carefully selected by the French artist.
