A First in China - the “Contextual” Architecture of Jean Nouvel

A First in China - the “Contextual” Architecture of Jean Nouvel
#Exhibitions

The halls of the Power Station of Art become a theatre of light in which the thoughts and emotions of Jean Nouvel take shape. Visitors are invited to explore the elements that inspired the designs of the architect who won the Prizker Prize in 2008. The French archi-star, creator of over 200 construction projects worldwide, has always distanced himself from stereotypical architecture, seeking, rather, to understand the local context and the emotions of buildings, along with their surrounding environment and their historical context. Now he is in China for the first time with an exhibition dedicated to his work. He comes to Shanghai with a film he created, illustrating his projects around the globe with poetic photos and dreamlike narration.
