With his new series of works Vanishing Mountains, Yang Yongliang brings to the spotlight his profound reflections on the rebirth of Chinese landscape painting. Raised in traditional Chinese painting, the artist has opened himself to the exploration of contemporary forms of expression, seeking a synthesis between the two fields. The exhibition compares different productions: on the one hand, digital images that translate the artist’s rational reflections, on the other, works produced with painting that record the most emotional reactions. These are two different aspects that find a point of balance between traditional aesthetics and innovation, building a bridge that connects the past and the present.
