Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026

From 6 to 15 February 2026, Abu Dhabi will host the first edition of the Open Masters Games, a major multi-sport event dedicated to athletes over 30 from all over the world. For ten days, the capital of the United Arab Emirates will welcome more than 25.000 participants competing in 33 disciplines across over twenty venues, including the Zayed Sports City Complex, Hudayriyat Island, and the ADNEC exhibition center. The initiative, promoted by the Abu Dhabi Sports Department, aims to strengthen the Emirates’ role as an international hub for sporting events and to encourage physical activity at every age. Alongside traditional sports, the program will include aquatic disciplines, athletics, cycling, tennis, golf, team sports, and activities open to people with disabilities, referred to locally as “People of Determination.” Registration is open worldwide: the fee for international participants is set at 550 dirhams, while UAE residents will pay 275 dirhams. There is no upper age limit, and participation is open to anyone who has turned 30 by 31 December 2025. With the Open Masters Games, Abu Dhabi seeks to reinforce its image as the sporting capital of the Middle East and to offer a model of inclusion and vitality through sport.
