Svetlana Zakharova, Freedom and Beauty

Internationally renowned ballerina Svetlana Zakharova returns to Dubai Opera with a one-night show titled Modanse. A double bill where Zakharova will be joined on stage by a cast of dancers from the Bolshoi Ballet. The evening will open with the ballet Come un Respiro (Like a Breath) by Italian choreographer Mauro Bigonzetti to music by George Frederic Handel created especially for Svetlana Zakharova. The second part of the show will feature a tribute to Gabrielle Chanel, the legendary designer and founder of the French fashion house. A show created in collaboration with choreographer Yury Possokhov and composer Ilya Demutsky with Alexei Frandetti creating the libretto and acting as director. The performance recounts Coco’s journey that forever changed the world of 20th century fashion.
