Building the first new hotel in London in 40 years provided the opportunity to incorporate pioneering building methods for a more sustainable interpretation of luxury. It was developed according to the best practices in sustainable design set by BREEAM (BRE Environmental Assessment Method, the leading and most widely used environmental assessment method for buildings). It is one of the first buildings in the UK to use Geothermal Ground Source Heat Pumps built into the fabric of the building, providing substantial carbon savings. A green roof has been ecologically designed to highest standards by the London Biodiversity Action plan to the extent of even incorporating support boxes for birds, bats and peregrine falcons. Further examples of green initiatives include electric car charging points to support environmentally friendly forms of transport, and bikes made available to guests to enjoy Hyde Park and discover London.
From cozy fires to dazzling décor and the glamour of London's best boutiques, it's a season to cherish at the Bvlgari Hotel London.
