Patti Smith is a legendary artist. Author and performer of extraordinary songs - from Because the Night (composed with Bruce Springsteen) to Gloria and People Have the Power - Patti Smith is also an internationally renowned writer, painter and photographer. Her most famous album, Horses from 1975 with the unforgettable cover portrait created by Robert Mapplethorpe, changed the history of Western music by influencing entire generations of artists. An album that was included in the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress and which is still considered one of the most famous records of the twentieth century. Patti Smith arrives in London for a concert on the occasion of the Somerset House Summer Series which will see her on stage with her band. The Patti Smith Quartet also features Tony Shanahan on bass and keyboards, her son Jackson Smith on guitar and Seb Rochford on drums.
