Luis Gómez Armenteros’ exhibition project for Fabbrica del Vapore was born following an artist residency that took place last year. The result of the collaboration between the Cuban artist and the Milanese curator, Giacomo Zaza, opens a space for reflection that compares art, the role of the artist and the inevitable questions that surround art and forms of consumption in a society crossed by restlessness and closures. The initiative is pervaded by a mixed spirit, an amalgamation of different disciplines - from sociology to literature, from political economy to technological and communicative research - to investigate the interstice between relativity and fiction, collective imagination and false truths. The means through which Luis Gómez expresses himself are the most varied, proposing a continuous contamination at this level too.
