Organized by Fiera Milano and directed by Nicola Ricciardi, miart 2025, the international modern and contemporary art fair in Milan, will take place from 4 to 6 April 2025. The event presents the widest range of artistic production in Italy, proposing masterpieces from the beginning of the twentieth century from Balla to de Chirico, from Schiele to Picabia together with new productions by the most influential contemporary artists, from David Hockney to Francis Alys, from Rosa Barba to Monica Bonvicini. Drawing inspiration from the artistic and human parable of Robert Rauschenberg, one hundred years after his birth, the 29th edition of miart is inspired by the key principles of his work, and in particular by his commitment to dialogue and collaboration. As Rauschenberg himself wrote, what attracted him were in fact “all situations in which the final work is the result of the work of more than one person.” In the same spirit, miart 2025 will thus become a platform for the creation of new synergies and new bonds, as also suggested by the title of the edition itself, among friends, borrowed from the latest retrospective dedicated to the American artist.
