Photographer Alessandro Grassani turns his camera lens on the climate emergency. The investigation of his reports focuses on some particularly fragile countries such as Mongolia, Kenya, Bangladesh, Haiti. Due to the increasingly precarious living conditions in rural and urban areas, the populations of those nations are often forced to migrate, chasing the mirage of a better life. But the fate that welcomes them in the long-awaited elsewhere almost never keeps its promise: forced to seek their fortune in Western metropolises, they often end up swelling pockets of hardship in the degraded outskirts of cities. A very current theme to which the Pope himself has returned several times, launching a message of alarm and recalling that the issue is humanitarian even before it is environmental, stating that "we cannot delude ourselves into healing our relationship with nature and the environment without healing all fundamental human relationships."
