The Grand Palais presents an exhibition dedicated to the work of Japanese artist Chiharu Shiota. Born in Osaka in 1972, Chiharu Shiota is famous throughout the world for her monumental installations of woven wool yarns. Her cyclopean canvases often envelop objects from her daily life and invite the viewer on a poetic and dreamlike journey. Her works explore the themes of time, movement and dreams. The exhibition organized in Paris together with the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo is the largest ever dedicated to the artist in Europe and extends over more than 1.200 square meters, with seven large-scale installations, sculptures, photographs, drawings, performance videos and archive documents.
