Venice Revealed in the Heart of Paris

Venice Revealed in the Heart of Paris
#Exhibitions

A miracle of engineering, architecture and art, set on the water. This is Venice, the city without equal which, for centuries, fights against the sea, the same element which nourishes its wealth. At the Grand Palais Immersif, the immersive exhibition Venise Révélée invites the public to understand the mysteries, discover the treasures, measure its splendour with surprising images, monumental projections and interactive displays. Produced by the Grand Palais Immersif - a new reality dedicated to immersive exhibitions which opened its doors in September in Paris - and Iconem, in collaboration with the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia, the exhibition guides visitors in discovering that, far from being a mere city-museum, it is, above all, a place of the future, right in line with the times. In the very heart of the jewel-city itself, built upon a forest of stilts in a lagoon with 124 islands, and apparently unchanged since its founding, runs the frenetic life of its inhabitants. And the public is welcomed to stroll along and discover, in the exhibition, the countless secrets and treasures which remain hidden from view as one walks through the city, offering a unique behind-the-scenes look at its eternal beauty. A digital counterpart to the exhibition will accompany guests through the details of the masterpieces created by the great Venetian painters. In this itinerary, which moves from the digital to the real and back again, the public is captured by the same illusiionary processes invented by the great Venetian masters, such as Veronese and Giambattista Tiepolo.
