At the end of his 5 years as artistic director at MACRO, Luca Lo Pinto proposes a group show that mirrors the one that celebrated his entry into the museum in 2020, bringing together over 30 contemporary Italian and international artists alongside the works of historicized artists. The exhibition aims to be the result of a long reflection on the role of the museum and on the relationship with its public, matured through a journey that has been divided into 60 exhibitions that have involved figures outside the system and different languages, such as design, music and publishing. The title, Post Scriptum. Un museo dimenticato a memoria (Post Scriptum. A Museum Forgotten by Heart), takes up an expression coined in the late 1960s by the Italian artist Vincenzo Agnetti, "forget by heart", which means assimilation and more or less conscious transformation into something else. These words encapsulate the meaning of the entire exhibition.
