Young V&A is the branch of the Victoria & Albert Museum whose mission is "to enable everyone, especially the young, to explore and enjoy the designed world, in particular objects made for and made by children". The museum has a large collection of children's toys, equipment and costumes and stages a program of temporary exhibitions. In October, the Young V&A offers its visitors an exciting and evocative journey through Nippon history with the aim of exploring how the landscape and folklore have influenced the culture, technology and design of Japan. An original itinerary that promises to be particularly curious, tracing a single path that starts from the ukiyo-e art of Hokusai and Hiroshige to get to the manga and anime of masters such as Hayao Miyazaki and his Studio Ghibli.
