An infinite universe of rotating crystal lamps and mirrored walls welcomes visitors to this constellation of lights that water replicates into infinity. Welcome to the psychedelic boxes of Yayoi Kusama, the artist from Matsumoto who invites us to penetrate the disorienting worlds of his dazzling creations. From 14 June, the Tate hosts Infinity Mirrored Room - Filled With the Brilliance of Life by Yayoi Kusama, one of her largest installations, next to Chandelier of Grief, an authentic crystal universe, where the only source of light is a baroque-style lamp bound to a rotating mechanism. On display as well, a small presentation of photos and moving images - some on display for the first time - which document the global success of Kusama’s scintillating creations. But the real novelty is The Universe as Seen from the Stairway to Heaven 2021, the brand new sculpture created specifically by the artist for this exhibition, where her life-long obsession for the concept of repeti-tion is evident. The exhibition allows us to enter into the genius spirit of polka-dots that she so passionately explored du-ring her entire career involving painting, engraving, photography, collages, film and videos, performances and installations.
