From the archive of Bob Krieger, a leap into the world of fashion to relive the rise of the Made in Italy label and the transformation of society with globally resounding images. Celebrated portraitist, correspondent for New York Times Magazine, the creator of memorable covers for Harper’s Bazar, Vogue and Time - exceptional, the cover in 1972 which immortalised the face of Giorgio Armani - Krieger also shot the campaigns of the most acclaimed Italian stylists, from Versace to Dolce & Gabbana. At the historic Palazzo Morando, a selection of colour and black and white photos retrace his career with iconic fashions, splendid models and emblems of that renaissance that transformed Italy - and Milan in particular - into a veritable forge of world fashion. From economic miracle to the protests of 1968 and the turbulent ‘70s, from the opulence of the ’80s to the dusk of the XX Century, each image represents a precise historic moment shown through faces and haute couture and prêt-à-porter. Re-live the great adventures of Armani, Valentino, Ferré, Trussardi, Fendi, Missoni, Laura Biagiotti, landing in the United States on glossy pages in search of inspiring the imaginations of a era.
